ASHLEY + TRAVIS
Ashley & Travis’ elopement at Smith Rock on Saturday was nothing but PERFECT! I was beyond excited when Ashely texted me to tell me that her and Travis were engaged (we had previously done an epic couples shoot at Crater Lake - check out that shoot here). So, knowing her adventurous sprit, I knew their wedding would be ONE OF A KIND and something I defiantly wanted to shoot.
We had been staying in touch with plans and when COVID-19 hit, lots of plans were up in the air and things had to change, but Ashley & Travis wanted to stick with their date and planned to elope at Smith Rock anyway. They managed to get their marriage license (we were unsure if people were still going to be able to get them with the shut down), and planned to move ahead with May 16th. Lots of plans changed, and the state parks closed. We were unsure if we were going to have to change the location so Ashley & Travis rented a property across the street from Smith Rock in case we were not allowed access to the State Park for the elopement. And as luck may have it, the park opened the day before the ceremony! We were all so excited to be able to continue with the wedding as planned.
Ashley got ready in the house across the street with the help of her Mom and two daughters. Her first look was perfect and we even got to walk to the bottom of Smith Rock to do photos (that is quite a hike in a wedding dress).
Their ceremony was perfect and so beautifully performed by Wendy Duncan. Their children were the wedding party and of course their adorable dog!
Congrats to you both! I was so grateful to be able to shoot your wedding. I hope you love these photos and they bring back some great memories of a fantastic day!
Thank you to the amazing vendors that made this day PERFECT!
