Kelsie & Shawn's wedding was so stunningly beautiful, from the sage color palette to the cascading florals and Maggie Sottero wedding gown. Kelsie looked like a real life princess.

I have been excited about Kelsie & Shawn’s wedding since Kelsie told me they got engaged. Kelsie has been a bridesmaid in several other weddings I have photographed and I knew she would make an absolutely stunning bride.

When I woke up the morning of their wedding and saw the dark storm clouds and inches upon inches of rain I was super bummed. We had planned to surprise Shawn with a first look at The South Bend Cubs Four Winds Field in Downtown South Bend and I was 98% sure we were going to have to call that off. A half hour before the first look was scheduled, the rain stopped, the sun came out and they were removing the tarps from the field as we arrived.

Their first look has to be the favorite of my career. It was so full of emotion and surprise. Kelsie blindfolded Shawn and drove him to Four Wind's Field in South Bend to surprise him with a first look on home plate of the South Bend Cubs Field! Could you ask for more??? A huge thank you to Four Winds Field for allowing us to use their field and Kelsie’s dad for arranging it.

The rest of their wedding day was full of laughter, sunshine and smiles. It was 100% what I thought it would be.
