MATERNITY
All of my maternity packages come with options on outfits. I provide several gown options for you to choose from to borrow for your wedding. All are maternity gowns which fit sizes from small to large and can be adjusted to fit most expectant mothers. I wanted to do a blog post to show you some of your options, to help narrow down the search before your shoot!
First up is the red strapless gown. It can have the train attached or not. For winter sessions we can add a fur wrap to help with warmth or just brave it for the shot!
Suggested pairings for children and husbands - usually dressy looks best with this dress is using with the fabric tail for drama. This could be dark jeans and a blazer/jacket or a full suit. If you are going this route, don’t forget about the shoes!
You partner/husband can also do casual as well. I would suggest something that complements (but doesn’t match) the dress - plaid shirt and dark jeans always works well.

Next is one of my faves… the purple strapless gown. This one has a very large train that can be used to add a little drama or flair to the photos.
Suggested pairings for children and husbands - usually dressy looks best with this dress especially if you are looking for a dramatic shot. This could be dark jeans and a blazer/jacket or a full suit. If you are going this route, don’t forget about the shoes!
You partner/husband can also do casual as well. I would suggest something that complements (but doesn’t match) the dress - solid colored shirt and dark jeans always works well.

I love the next one! I have it in red and in black. Is probably one of my favorites! You can use it with the extra train, or not.
Images shot at Starved Rock State Park in Illinios and Sparks Lake in Bend, Oregon.
The next group is so great… all the lace dresses. These are more form fitting and fit size small - medium. They don’t have stretch but look absolutely AMAZING! I currently offer these dresses in white, black and navy. The black one is only knee length so is usually used for “bump up” photos. These work great for milk bath images as well as beach and nursery photos.
These dresses I usually use to make images of just the mother to be.

Back to another one of my faves! RED is always great on expecting moms. This dress is a lot like the first, same fit and flare mermaid style but has flared sleeves as well. You can add on the red fabric for more drama (and who doesn’t want more drama)???

The next is just so beautiful and one of my newer additions. It is a custom dyed forest green gown with the fit and flair mermaid style but has off the shoulder long sleeves. Great for winter shoots and looked amazing in the greenhouse! This dress looks great on most ladies, but I personally love it paired with a redhead (i’m a sucker for those)
Suggested pairings for husbands is dressy but not full suit. Shirt with dark jeans looks great and compliments well.

Oh yeah! Here we go… DRAMA is this dress! This pink gown can be used with fabric flair or without. Its off the shoulder rounded neckline creates such a beautiful framing for your belly and face. There is a long train on this dress already but you can add more fabric for fun.
Suggested pairings for husbands is dressy or a suit. Light colored shirt with dark jeans or khaki shorts looks great and compliments well for beach shots.

The next set of dresses are all tailor made for my clients. They consist of a bralet top you bring to your session and then we add whichever color fabrics you want to create the full look. Can be used with an open belly or closed depending on how much bump you want to reveal! Some clients like them to be see through and others want more fabric added to create fullness.
These are the types of dresses I use for my water (stream and lake) images.

Boho baby! I love this pink boho look and it is new to my collection. It is strapless with ruffled sleeves and a small train. Can be paired with the flower crown as well to compliment the gown. Would be perfect for a beach session.
Suggested pairings for husbands is dressy or a suit. Light colored shirt with dark jeans or khaki shorts looks great and compliments well for beach shots.

This one is also one of my faves and was hand made by me. This black red carpet gown is trimmed with black lace and has a full black tulle bottom. It is a very dramatic piece. It fits a size small to medium but does have some stretch.
I would suggest a very formal pairing with this dress for children and partners. It is more along the lines of a red carpet gown.

This one I added in to help you with your “casual” look. Some of my clients like to wear a more casual look as one of their looks so I suggest something that is form fitting but not over the top. Jeans and a sweater for winter or fall looks great and jeans and a form fitting top for the summer is also good. The dress in the middle of this collage I own, and you can also borrow for a more casual but dressy look. Maxi dresses are always great for summer!

This next section is something we can do in the privacy of your own home. Bodyscaping the pregnant belly can make for amazing fine art images. Below you will see a few selections of those types of images. It is a great way to document your growing belly and your changing body.
