BUT... WHAT DO I WEAR?
I am often asked what are best things to wear for boudoir photo shoot? Well let me tell you there are many great items you can choose right out of your own closet. Not every item needs to be lingerie. Choose at least one bra and panty set.
Make sure you try on everything you are planning on bringing to your shoot! Sometimes we hold onto those "amazing pieces" and don't realize they don't fit us anymore. So, make sure you try everything on!
IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE COMPLICATED...
Some of my favorite photos are simple "white sheet" photos. Our bed has white sheets, add you and "implied nude" (yes you are wearing underwear under there) and you have some beautiful photos...
VARIETY...
A simple bra and pantie, criss crossed strappy lingerie, a nightie, teddie, mens shirt, football jersey... the options are endless!
Bra tip: If you are a B or smaller find a bra that has lace around the top of the cup. It will make you look a whole size bigger in photos.
SOMETHING OF HIS...
Bring something that belongs to your guy. One of his button up shirts and/or his tie. If you or your guy are sports fans wear a sports jersey with some knee high socks. You could even take it a step further and order his favorite team jersey with your name on it or the words sexy. Be creative. The more you put into it, the more he will be blown away!
WHAT YOU MAY ALREADY HAVE...
Look through your closet for a see through or lace blouse, a soft sweater you can pull off your shoulders for a more relaxed, girl next door look. Crop tops with panties are always cute.
ALL ABOUT THE GIRLS...
Bustiers are a great way to create curves and enhance cleavage. If you are smaller then a C cup be sure to bring the kind of bustier that has built in cups. (usually a corset does not have cups but I have seen a few bustiers without cups too) The bustiers without can make you look flat chested and we don’t want that! Corsets also tend to squeeze you in places you sometimes don't want to be squeezed. Have friend come over and help you try on a corset before your shoot and make sure it is the effect you were wanting to produce. You can also purchase corsets without the bust which can sometimes be more flattering on larger chested women.
SUPER AGENT...
Trench coat with sexy high heels can be oh so mysterious. Don’t forget to look through your coat closet. If you have a form fitting sexy coat bring it along. You know he fantasizes about you showing up to his office in nothing but a coat and heels...
ON TREND...
Rompers and one piece teddies are all the rage this year and are not only cute but can be super sexy. Go try one on now! They are flattering to nearly every body style and most of my clients bring one for their shoot. If you do not already own one be sure to purchase one for your shoot.
RED IS THE NEW BLACK...
Many women come to their shoot with almost all black lingerie…snooze…Bring color!! The more variety the better. Red is always pretty damn hot.
FOUR INCHES OR MORE...
And most of all don’t forget to bring some killer high heels! Nude heels can go with many outfit choices. Black heels are a staple. However, anything strappy, studded or with bling is a must bring. The higher the better. Try to stay away from platform and wedges for your shoot.
BARE FEET...
I always love heels, but so many times, bare feet are just what we use. Make sure your toes are painted!
Make sure your nails are freshly manicured and your rings are clean. French tips look great as well as red or black polish. Coordinate with your outfits.
