I LOVE LOVE LOVED capturing Derrick & Kristin's wedding today. I love it when my couples decide to do a smaller, intimate wedding. Kristin looked absolutely stunning in her gown and Derrick's American flag socks and suspenders put a personal touch into his outfit.
Read MoreWow! Michigan's Upper Peninsular has been on my bucket list of places to shoot for the last couple of years. I had seen a cool place where you can hike up a mountain and see the great lakes from the top. The view was absolutely incredible. In my wedding consultation I told Bailey about wanting to shoot there and it just so happened that her family was planning a vacation up to the UP in July!
Read MoreToday was a hot one in Chicago! I met with Vilay and Troy to get some Chicago Skyline shots as well as some shots at Lincoln Park Zoo. I loved their choices of outfits and adding in some of their personality with their rival football jerseys!

Read MoreWhat a crazy spring/summer it has been! We had scheduled Ashley & Tyler's engagement session at Ball State University (where they met, and therefore one of their fave places). The morning of their shoot, there was a MASSIVE storm! We decided to proceed with the shoot anyway, no matter what we were given. The day turned out to be perfect, a little damp on the ground, but great anyway. We did get caught in a little rain, but mostly we managed to walk around campus dry!

Kayla and Niel chose to do their first look and some of their formal photos at St Mary's College campus. I love shooting here as it isn't as busy as Notre Dame, but also has a lot to offer. Brick, ivy, staircases, and beautiful archways. Kayla also got ready at the stunningly beautiful Inn At St Marys, so St Marys campus made for a great first look location due to its close proximity to where she and her bridesmaids were getting ready.

Their ceremony was absolutely stunning at Basilica of the Sacred Heart at the University of Notre Dame followed by the amazing reception at the Century Center in South Bend.

I always love to photograph couples and families at the beach in St. Joe. The lighthouse and beach is such a great spot for photos.

Make sure you try on everything you are planning on bringing to your shoot! Sometimes we hold onto those "amazing pieces" and don't realize they don't fit us anymore. So, make sure you try everything on!

Read MoreI absolutely loved working with Jenna & TJ. Their engagement session on the shores of Lake Michigan was amazing. The skies were perfect (yes all real) and they looked amazing. We started the shoot in Niles, Michigan and then drove up to St Joseph, Michigan to get some photos by the water. We finished off the shoot with Jenna's amazing full length sequin gown in the sand dunes and at a local vineyard.

The beach in St Joseph, MI is such a pretty place to explore and use for a backdrop for photos. We also got to use the lighthouse for part of their session.
Dylan and Kendall's engagement session at Country Strong in Northern Indiana was a blast! Dylan works for Coca-Cola so we got to do a cute vintage "coke themed" portion to their engagement shoot.

I am always fascinated by places that are super old. Milford was established before America, which is just amazing. The locations they chose for photos, the Grist Mill at the Wayside Inn in Sudsbury, MA and the Draper building in Hopedale, MA were two awesome locations for wedding photography.
